The MeYouZeum:
(Re)Imaginings of Home and Identity

Who am I? Who do others think I am? Who am I becoming?
Where is home? What is home?
What does it mean to be a woman? What does it mean to be black?
What are my three passions?
How did I come to believe the things I believe?

What is my story?
The MeYouZeum is an interactive, collaborative,
participatory museum exhibit with learning stations
that explore notions of home and identity.

It was conceptualized and designed by
Brittany Lynk, Martta Sareva, and Yigal Kotler.

It took place
Saturday, April 28, 2012
10 am to 3 pm
Grace Dodge Hall 449
Teachers College, Columbia University
525 West 120th Street, New York, NY 10027

The MeYouZeum was born out an assignment to create a fantasy museum
as part of the course Education in Community Settings: Museums

with Professor Hope Jensen Leichter in the Spring of 2012.

The creation of the museum is also an essential part of the
Integrated Project  (IP) by Brittany Lynk for completion of her
Master of Arts degree in International Educational Development.
The full paper can be found in the "Academic Papers" link.

Specific information about the different learning stations is available on this site. Following the event, images and videos will be available for further exploration. Also available on this site are past academic papers by Brittany Lynk
with themes of home and identity, along with a series of cross-cultural, multilingual children's books published by BLynk Creations,
and lastly, resources for Global Nomads and Third Culture Kids.
